Why HGH Is Important?

Fasting could help you build muscle and release anti-aging properties through the release of human growth hormone.

It is fascinating to see the physiology behind fasting. Fasting is not just about reducing calories but also about positive hormonal changes. The main benefit of fasting is the reduction in insulin. However, there are also increases in nor-adrenaline and cortisol as well.

These hormones are collectively known as counter-regulatory hormonal compounds. They all work together to increase blood glucose, even though the body doesn’t get it from food. We will be focusing on human growth hormone (HGH).

Human growth hormone

HGH, a hormone produced by the pituitary (the master) gland, plays an important role in the normal development of children and teenagers as its name suggests. It also plays an important role in adult development. Adults with low levels of HGH will have higher body fat, lower body mass (sarcopenia), and lower bone mass (osteopenia).

HGH is released by the pituitary and lasts only a few moments in the bloodstream. HGH is transported to the liver for metabolism. It is then converted into many other growth factors including Insulin-Like Growth Factor 1(IGF1).

This IGF1 is also linked to high insulin levels and poor health outcomes. But, remember that the brief IGF1 surge from HGH only lasts a few seconds. To prevent resistance from developing, most hormones are naturally secreted in short bursts (this is how insulin resistant develops).

Scientists first extracted HGH from cadavers back in 1950, but it was only in 1980 that they were able to synthesize it in laboratories. It became a very popular drug for performance enhancement. Normal levels of HGH rise in puberty, as you might expect, and slowly decrease over time.

The growth hormone, which is secreted in sleep, is also known as the “counter-regulatory” hormone. HGH, cortisol, adrenaline and adrenaline increase blood glucose by breaking down the glycogen. This counters the insulin effect. These hormones are usually secreted during the “counter-regulatory spike” shortly before awakening at 4 am. This is normal and helps prepare the body for the next day. It pushes glucose from storage into the bloodstream where it can be used for energy.

People who say you must eat breakfast in order to get energy for the day are wrong. Your body has already given you a huge shot of the good stuff to fuel you for the day. Energy doesn’t have to come from sugary cereals or toast with jam. This is why hunger is often lowest at 8 am, even if you haven’t eaten in 12 hours.

HGH is a hormone that can be used to build muscle and prevent aging

HGH levels tend to decline with age, and low levels can lead to decreased muscle mass and bone density. What are the effects of best hgh being given to older adults with low levels? This was done in 1990 in an New England Journal of Medicine Article.

Group 1 is the HGH-group, while Group 2 is the control (no HGH). The weight difference between the two groups was not significant over 6 months. Look at the lean body mass.

The HGH group gained 3.7kg (8.8%) more muscle mass. This is 8 pounds of lean muscle! Fat mass fell an additional 2.4kg (5.3 pounds). This is a decrease in 14.2%. Even the skin thickness was better. Wow, nelly. Loss of fat, gain of lean mass (muscles, bones and skin). This is anti-aging!

Similar results were also found in , a 2002 JAMA article. It sounds great. It sounds great. Side effects are a thing. This study was limited to people with extremely low levels of HGH, and not people with normal levels.

The blood sugar levels rose. HGH, a counter-regulatory hormonal hormone, was responsible for this increase. The number of pre-diabetes was also on the rise. Fluid retention and blood pressure also increased. There is also a potential for increased prostate carcinoma risk and heart problems (enlarged hearts) in the long-term. This is not good news.

Artificial injections of HGH have been banned. But what if there was an all-natural way to increase growth hormone? Fasting might be an option.

Fasting to increase growth hormone

Kerndt and colleagues published in 1982 a study on a single patient that decided to fast for 40 days. Glucose drops. It drops from 96 to 56 after the initial reading. Insulin drops way, way down. It starts at 13.5 and quickly drops to 2.91 before continuing its descent. This is almost a 80% drop. Fasting can be an effective way to lower insulin levels if you have hyperinsulinemia or type 2 diabetes.

HGH is our main concern. It begins at 0.73 and peak at 9.86. This is a 1,250% rise in growth hormone. An increase of 300% can be achieved by a shorter fast (5 days). This HGH increase is without the use of drugs.

What about side effects?

You might experience an increase in glucose. Nope. Nope. Nope. Are you at higher risk for cancer? Not at all.

Similar increases in growth hormone have been observed in other studies. Ho KY et Al examined fasting and HGH in 1988. You can see how meals marked M suppress HGH secretion on the control day. This is normal. HGH, like cortisol and insulin, increases glucose. This suppresses HGH during food.

Fasting can be a powerful stimulus for HGH secretion. Fasting causes a spike in HGH secretion in the morning but also during the day. Hartman and also found a five-fold increase in HGH after a two-day fast.

The maintenance of muscle mass and bone is likely to be helped by HGH. Lean mass loss is a major concern when fasting. One person claims that fasting for a single day can result in a loss of 1/4 pound muscle. Studies have shown that this is not the case. The opposite is possible. Comparing caloric reduction diets with fasting, we found that the short-term fasting was 4x more effective at maintaining lean mass. This is what you need to think about for a second.

Let’s pretend that we live in Paleolithic time. In the summer of abundance, we eat a lot of food and keep some as fat in our bodies. It is now winter and there is no food. What is your body doing? Is it possible to burn muscle and preserve our fat (fat)? This is not evolutionary.

It’s like storing firewood in a wood-burning stove. Your storage unit can hold a lot of firewood. You have so many firewood that it is spilling all over your home. There’s not enough space to store all of it. When it comes time to turn on the oven, you quickly take down your sofa and put it in the oven.

It is logical to burn the wood that has been stored. The body starts to burn stored food (fats) rather than burning muscle. While some protein is catabolized to gluconeogenesis, the increase in HGH keeps lean mass while fasting. However, this may not be true for people who have excess fat stores. They might experience a greater loss of body mass when fasting.

For athletes, the implications

This has huge implications for swimmers. This is known as “training in the fasted condition”. Fasting can increase nor-adrenalin, which may make it easier to train. Fasting can also increase muscle mass and speed up recovery after a workout. This could be a significant advantage for elite athletes. However, high-quality studies are not available.

Bodybuilders were not the only ones who advocated fasting. For definition, this sport requires high intensity training and very low body fat.

Brad Pilon, the author of “Eat, Stop, Eat”, is a bodybuilder. Martin Berkhan, the pioneer of the ‘lean gain’ method, is also a bodybuilder. I’m not sure that fasting was for these guys ‘eating’ their muscles.

For all those who believed fasting would cause fatigue or prevent you from exercising, you will now be able to see the truth. If there is enough excess fat to burn, fasting won’t burn muscle.

Fasting can increase HGH’s beneficial effects without the side effects of excess HGH (prostate cancer or increased blood sugar and blood pressure). The benefits could be even greater for those who are interested in improving their athletic performance.

Let’s now see. Intermittent fasting is a great way to train harder if done correctly. You can lose weight. You will see a faster recovery. Reduce insulin resistance and insulin levels. Reduce blood sugars. These benefits can be achieved without the use of drugs, supplements, or any cost. It’s absolutely free, just like the best things about life. Why is everyone so opposed to it?
