The mythology-laced Thor, a Johnny Depp-led remake of The Lone Ranger, the second installment in The Hunger Games franchise, and Sam Raimi’s Oz: The Great And Powerful, Brad Pitt-starrer World War Z Hugh Jackman in & as The Wolverine will likely be huge box office hits too.

“Man Of Steel” is an upcoming Superman film directed by “300 (2006) ” Zack Snyder. “The Dark Knight Trilogy” Director Christopher Nolan as screenwriter and producer. This movie supposed to be directed by Chris Nolan himself but due to his commitment to “The Dark Knight Rise”, he had to step down. Zack Snyder said that this movie would have no ties to any previous cinematic incarnation of the character. Russell Crowe portrays Jor-El, following Marlon Brando. Henry Cavill is the first non-American actor to play the role of Clark Kent. London-born Lee Quigley played Superman as a baby in the 1978 film. The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies was one of the two earlier proposed titles for this film. Jed Brophy appears in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug as Nori. His son Sadwyn Brophy appeared as Eldarion in The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. The story will revolve on the dragon Smaug (played by actor Benedict Cumberbatch through motion capture) who guards the treasure that Bilbo Baggins and his dwarf companions are in search of.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is an upcoming action-adventure film based on Suzanne Collins’ novel “Catching Fire”, the second installment in The Hunger Games trilogy. The sequel to the 2012 film The Hunger Games and directed by “I AM Legend (2007)” Francis Lawrence. After Gary Ross declined to return to direct the movie, Alfonso Cuarón, David Cronenberg, Duncan Jones and Joe Cornish were considered to replace him. In the end, the job was offered to Francis Lawrence. With a screenplay from Simon Beaufoy and Michael Arndt. Jennifer Lawrence reprises her role as Katniss Everdeen, with Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Lenny Kravitz, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, and Willow Shields also reprising their roles.
5. Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)
“Star Trek into Darkness” is an upcoming 2013 science fiction action Adventure film directed by J. J. Abrams, written by Alex Kurtzman, Damon Lindelof and Roberto Orci, and produced by Abrams, Kurtzman, Lindelof, Orci and Bryan Burk. It is the twelfth film in the Star Trek franchise and the sequel to 2009’s Star Trek. According to J.J. Abrams, the time travel-alternate reality concept used in the previous installment was a deliberate ploy to enable a reboot for new sagas: “The idea, now that we are in an independent timeline, allows us to use any of the ingredients from the past – or come up with brand-new ones – to make potential stories.”

Distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, Johnny Depp as Tonto and Armie Hammer as The Lone Ranger. It’s is an action western adventure film directed by Gore Verbinski and, based on the American Old West character serials. The makeup/costume that Johnny Depp appears in the movie was inspired by Native American Artist Kirby Sattler’s painting “I AM CROW”. The epic scale and gun metal patina makes the film look visually stunning.
7. G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013)
“G.I. Joe: Retaliation” is a sequel to G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009). It’s a complete action thriller movie directed by Jon Chu. This is Jon’s first action movie after series of dance related movies. Bruce Willis appears as Joe Colton a.k.a G. I Joe and Dwayne Johnson as Roadblock. This film supposed to be released in 2012 due to the release of “The Dark Knight Rises” and other factors, had to postpone release date to 2013.
8. The Wolverine (2013)
“The Wolverine” is an upcoming superhero film featuring Marvel comic book character Wolverine and it’s the sixth film in X- Men film franchise, directed by James Mangold. Hugh Jackman returns as Logan “The Wolverine”. Including his cameo in X-Men: First Class, this will be Jackman’s sixth portrayal of Logan/Wolverine, breaking his own record. 9. Thor: The Dark World (2013)
“Thor: The Dark World” is produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Disney Studio. It’s an upcoming sequel to 2011’s “Thor” featuring Marvel Comic character. With Iron man 3, Thor: The Dark World and Captain America sequel releasing in near future, we could expect “The Avengers” sequel by the end of 2014.
